Margarita Pérez is an actuary who studied in the School of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She has attended corporate management programs at the IPADE in Mexico City, and Executive Development at Rice University, Texas, among other programs. She has a broad professional experience in the gas and refining sector. In 1987, Ms. Perez started her career in the marketing area of Xerox Mexicana. She joined Pemex in 1990. Beginning in 1993, she worked at PMI Comercio Internacional as a project analyst and commercial Deputy Director of the Natural Gas area. From 1993 to 1995, Ms. Perezserved as Business and Operations Vice President of PMI Holdings North America in Houston, Texas where she took part in the Deer Park refinery joint venture negotiations between Pemex and Shell. From 1995 to 2010, she worked at Pemex Gas y Petroquímica Básica in different areas of Natural Gas, and from July 2010 to March 2012 she was the Deputy Director of LP Gas and Basic Petrochemicals. She is currently Commercial Director of Products at PMI Comercio International. Her main responsibility is the competitive and efficient trading of products in international markets in coordination with Pemex's requirements.
