Biography
Mr. Baños graduated in 1991 from Iberoamericana University in Mexico City with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He has attended several courses and seminars in the United States and the UK such as the Oxford Energy Institute, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, John’s Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, Harvard Business School, World Trade Institute, and the Cambridge Academy of Transport. In the early stage of his professional career, he was Supervisor of Gasoline Products and Components. In this position, he worked closely with Pemex Refinación. In 1999, he was transferred to Houston, Texas, and served as New Businesses Manager at the joint venture refinery in Deer Park. Between 2000 and 2002, he was Commercial Deputy Director of Refined Products. From 2002 to 2010, he worked as Crude Oil Commercial Deputy Director coordinating activities with PMI's offices in Madrid and Houston. Since April 2010, he has been Crude Oil Commercial Director in PMI Comercio Internacional.
