Biography
Has a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City, specialized in International Negotiations -Fundación Mexicana para el Progreso y Desarrollo-. Víctor has attended several courses and seminars; in the Oxford Energy Institute, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard, World Trade Institute, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, he also completed the senior Management Program at the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección, IPADE. Mr. Gomez has experience, in the Public and Private sectors. He started his professional career in Fibras Químicas y Nylon de México –Akra– in 1981. In 1983, he joined Celanese Mexicana as an Export Coordinator, from 1984 to 1990 he worked in Laboratorios Bioquimex –Subsidiary of Desk Holding Company– where he occupied the Foreign Trade and Logistics Management Office. From 1986 to 1997 was assigned as Foreign Trade and Marketing Coordinator in La Salle University -Mexico City-, at the same time he worked as a Professor in the International Businesses Masters' Program. Since he joined PMI Comercio Internacional in 1993, Mr. Gómez, has held several positions: Head of Maritime Operations (1993-1994), Trader of Gasoline Products (1994-1995), Operations Supervisor (1996-1997), Operations Manager (1997-2000), Refined Products Operations Deputy Director (2001-2004) and Commercial Director of Petrochemical Products (2004-2012). In February 2012, he was appointed Executive Vice President, Logistics, by the Board of Directors, in charge of PMI's Hydrocarbons Logistics and Safety.
