Biography
In his role as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking- Canada, US, Global Mining and Syndications, Bob is responsible for the growth and strategic direction of these areas. Bob has spent the last 30 years within Scotiabank’s Corporate Banking group in progressively senior roles. He was responsible for expanding specialized lending groups and expanding the Bank’s corporate lending business in Canada, Europe and the United States. Bob began his career with Scotiabank in 1980 and before moving to Corporate Banking, he held roles in Internal Audit and Corporate Credit. As an advocate for diversity, Bob is part of the Global Banking and Markets Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee and has mentored many young women and men in their careers. Bob is a member of a number of committees at the Bank including the Corporate and Social Responsibility Committee and Senior Credit Committee. Bob also serves on the Board of Governors and the Audit and Finance Committee of OCAD University. Bob holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Western Ontario.
