Biography
John Herbert manages Loan Acquisition relationships at SG Capital Partners. Prior to joining SGCP, Mr. Herbert was a Director at Credit Suisse in the Asset Finance Group. During his 15+ year tenure at Credit Suisse, he was responsible for building and managing the non-agency jumbo mortgage conduit, including developing and overseeing the network of correspondent relationships. Mr. Herbert was also responsible for sourcing residential loan trading and financing opportunities. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2000, he was a Vice President at Prudential Securities, focusing on mortgage finance and securitization from 1994 to 2000. Before starting his career on Wall Street, Mr. Herbert was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, qualifying as a Surface Warfare Officer while serving onboard the guided missile cruiser USS Normandy. Mr. Herbert holds a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
