Biography
Mr. Barringer heads Marketing and Investor Relations for Shelter Growth Capital Partners. Prior to joining SGCP, Mr. Barringer was a Partner at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he began his career in 1991. Mr. Barringer was promoted to Managing Director in 2001 and Partner in 2010. Mr. Barringer spent his Goldman career in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) Division, working in both New York and London, primarily in the short term interest rates (STIR) business. For the ten years through the end of 2014, Mr. Barringer led the team responsible for sourcing funding for Goldman Sachs and providing financing to the firm’s clients. He served on the Goldman Sachs FICC sales operating committee. Mr. Barringer holds a BA in Economics from Harvard College where he played varsity ice hockey. He currently serves on the board of the Dexter Southfield School in Brookline, Mass. and the Board of Advisors of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
