Biography
Alicia received her BS in Human Biology and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003 and her PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Arizona in 2012. She completed postdoctoral training at McGill University from 2012-2017 and University of New Mexico, College of Pharmacy from June 2017 – Oct 2017. She joined the UNM COP faculty in 2017.
Research Interest
Alicia’s research interests are in metals toxicology. She is currently investigating the molecular changes caused by metals found in the environment, including arsenic, uranium and tungsten, that can lead to immunotoxicity, bone toxicity, and cancer.
