Biography
Bleske received a BS in pharmacy from Wayne State University in 1984 and a PharmD from the University of Minnesota in 1986. Prior to joining UNM in 2015, Bleske was a tenured professor at the University of Michigan’s College of Pharmacy. Bleske taught at Michigan for 27 years and had an active clinical practice in the cardiovascular care unit and cardiovascular step-down unit.
Research Interest
Bleske’s basic and clinical research has focused on heart failure. His current interests include genomics, epi-genomics and medication optimization in cardiovascular disease, the use of technology to reduce heart failure morbidity, application of a novel clinical tool (TOM-C HF) for heart failure assessment in the community setting and education research, particularly educational outcomes with team-based learning or flipped classrooms.
