Biography
Masserano received his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1976. Prior to his current appointment, he was on the faculty at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Department of Pharmacology, supervised a laboratory in the Neuropsychiatry Division at the National Institutes of Mental Health in Bethesda, Md., and was a drug science specialist at the Drug Enforcement Administration headquarters in Washington, D.C. He joined the faculty in the College of Pharmacy at UNM in 2000.
