Biography
Takeda received a bachelor of science (1998) and a master of pharmaceutical sciences (2000) from Nagasaki University in Japan. She received a Pharm.D. from Roseman University Health Sciences (formerly known as the University of Southern Nevada) in 2009 and an MS in clinical research from the University of Kansas in 2013.
Research Interest
Takeda’s research focuses on opioid overdose, and the prevention of opioid overdose deaths among patients with chronic opioid treatment, as well as bone health among patients with epilepsy, catamenial epilepsy treatment, drug-herb interactions and simulation in pharmacy education. Currently, she is a co-investigator of a naloxone study to prevent unintentional opioid overdose deaths and to identify risk factors of opioid overdose among patients with chronic opioid therapy for chronic noncancer pain.
