Biography
Deming holds a BS in biology (1997) and a PharmD (2004) from the University of New Mexico. She completed a pharmacy practice residency and an infectious diseases pharmacotherapy residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. She joined UNM in 2007.
Research Interest
Deming’s research interests are in patient outcomes during chronic hepatitis C virus therapy, including in patients with advanced liver disease and cirrhosis. She maintains a clinical practice specializing in HCV infections within the university-based HCV clinic, Truman Health Services HIV-HCV co-infection clinic, and Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes). She collaborates in research initiatives through Project ECHO and the Project ECHO HCV consortium and has co-authored position papers on the management of HCV infections for professional pharmacy groups.
