Dr. Yang received a BS in electrical engineering (2000) and an MS in electrical engineering (2003) from Zhejiang University in China. He received a PhD in Bioengineering from The University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007. He finished postdoctoral fellowships concentrating on magnetic resonance imaging and magnetic resonance image analysis at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Yang’s interest is in magnetic resonance imaging, biomedical image analysis and processing with applications to biological and pharmacological research. He has experience with the Bruker Preclinical magnetic resonance imaging system and a strong background in MRI pulse sequences and protocol optimization. He is an MRI scientist in the UNM School of Medicine’s BRaIN Imaging Center.
