Biography
Dr. Abdelnaby treats a wide variety of colorectal conditions, including anal and rectal pain, anal fissures, diverticulosis/diverticulitis, colon cancer, rectal cancer, anal cancer, and more. She also performs approximately 700 colonoscopies per year. But what sets her and her colleague apart from surgeons in the community is the complexity of the cases they are able to handle. “As a tertiary care center, we get the most complex, complicated cases,” she says. “Many surgeons in the community are not comfortable operating on advanced malignancies – advanced rectal cancer, advanced anal cancer, and pelvic abnormalities, for example. We do them daily.”
