Biography
Dr. Adinoff is Professor and Distinguished Professor of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Research in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is also the Chief of the Division on Addictions at the UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Director of Research for Mental Health VA North Texas Health Care System. He has published over 150 articles and chapters on the biology and treatment of addiction. Dr. Adinoff's research has been funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the National Institute on Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Disorders and the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
