Biography
Erica Hamilton serves as the Vice President of Strategic Development for the UNM Medical Group (UNMMG). Hamilton leads strategic business planning, hospital management/affiliation contracting, facilitates financial assessment on mergers and acquisitions and project management for strategic initiatives working cohesively with the UNM Health System overall. Hamilton has also built a strategy management team that focuses on overall health system network development. Notably, Hamilton has led efforts creating and nurturing affiliation relationships with rural hospitals and provider groups to create a statewide network and helped build a pipeline for tertiary care. Hamilton has also actively supported efforts to disseminated behavioral health issue information, which led to a task force with the Mayor of Albuquerque to expand resources for intermediate care. Hamilton has worked for other healthcare organizations including Sandoval Regional Medical Center, UNM Hospitals, Quality New Mexico and Lovelace Healthcare System and Lovelace Medical Center. Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland, along with a Master’s degree in Nursing & Master’s degree in Business Administration, both with honors, from the University of Tampa.
