Biography

• Working on investigating the molecular pathophysiology of ischemic brain injury focusing on mitochondrial dysfunction due to cardiac arrest on exposure to different degree of oxygenation during resuscitation and the use of neuroprotective interventions in rodent model. • Isolation of brain and heart mitochondria to study oxygen consumption and free radical production in CLP (cecal ligation and puncture) model of sepsis rats exposed to hypobaria. • Investigation of neuroinflammatory markers and ROS (reactive oxygen species) markers using immunohistochemistry and stereological quantification in rats exposed to global cerebral ischemia using 2vessel occlusion plus bleeding hypotension model.
