Biography
Mr. Dheeraj Pandey is a Co-Founder of Nutanix, Inc. and has been its Chairman since September 2009. Mr. Pandey has been the Chief Executive Officer of Nutanix, Inc. since September 2009. He served as President of Nutanix, Inc until February 18, 2016. He served as Director of Engineering at Aster Data Systems, Inc. Mr. Pandey has been working on large-scale clusters for the last 8 years of his career. Mr. Pandey came to Aster from Oracle Corporation, where he managed the Storage Engine of the database. He led the development of Oracle 11g Advanced Compression Option for both structured and unstructured data. He has co-invented several patent-pending algorithms on database transaction management, Oracle Real Application Clusters and Data Compression. Previously, he was building commodity-clustered fileservers at Zambeel. In 10 years of his industry career, he has developed diverse software for a pretty deep stack: midtier Java/COM applications to fileservers, databases and firmware in storage switches. He has been a Director of Nutanix since September 2009. Mr. Pandey received an M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas (Austin), where he was a Doctoral Fellow. Mr. Pandey received a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the IIT Kanpur, where he was judged the "Best All-Rounder Student Among All Graduating Students in All Disciplines."
