Deepa Bajracharya

Biography

Deepa Bajracharya was Lecturer at Department of Physiotherapy, Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Kavre, Nepal(2012-2014). Before that, she has worked as a clinical physiotherapist at Center for child development and disabilities at Bangalore,India.  Deepa was involved in teaching pediatric subjects for BPT students, development of the pediatric physiotherapy unit and its services, clinical supervision of students posted in Dhulikhel Hospital,guiding students for research. She also took up an additional role of Clinical incharge for the department of physiotherapy at KUSMS. Deepa was an active participant and contributed actively in weekly meetings held in the department, helped in different workshops and conferences organised at KUSMS physiotherapy department. Deepa's main research interest is in cerebral palsy and physical disability related studies. She has recently completed a special course in "Role of physiotherapist in NICU" in Australia. This was called "NICU to Prep- 2013" organised every year. She has also done a workshop on an upcoming assessment for high risk children called "General Movement Assessment" which is a predictive tool that predicts Cerebral palsy in children who are at high risk of developing neurological conditions later in life.
