Biography
Laurens has studied chemistry and mainly focused on the areas of polymer chemistry, organic chemistry and flow chemistry. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Durham (United Kingdom). His Ph.D. was funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and a multinational company producing cleaning agents, personal care products and food. The combination of academia and industry resulted in applied driven research. He studied the applicability of polymerisations in flow systems and considering if the obtained results were patentable. As trainee patent attorney he will further develop his passion for innovations and will help his clients to obtain a high quality intellectual property portfolio.
