Biography
William L. Connelly is a former member of the Management Board of ING Bank, where he was responsible for all of ING's corporate, financial institutions and financial markets activities. He started his professional career at Chase Manhattan Bank, fulfilling senior roles in commercial and investment banking in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Spain and the Netherlands. He was appointed to Aegon's Supervisory Board in 2017 and his current term ends in 2021. He is a member of the Supervisory Board Audit Committee and a member of the Supervisory Board Remuneration Committee. Mr. Connelly is also an independent director at the Board of Directors of Societe Generale. He has held no other board memberships in the past five years.
