Biography
Juliet Tammenoms Bakker is a founder and Managing Director of Longitude Capital. She focuses on investments in medical technology. Most recently, Ms. Tammenoms Bakker was a Managing Director of Pequot Ventures where she founded the life sciences investment practice in 1997. Prior to Pequot, she was Director, Strategic Planning and Director, Operations of Waste Management International, Inc. Previously she was a sell-side equity analyst in London with Banque Paribas. Ms. Tammenoms Bakker began her career as an investment banker in the corporate finance department at PaineWebber, Inc. She currently serves on the boards of Nalu Medical, AqueSys, Sympara, Venus Concept, Alphaeon and Calhoun Vision. She has previously served on the boards of Ablation Frontiers (acquired), Aptus Endosystems, Broncus Technologies, CryoVascular Systems (acquired), Disc Dynamics, Embolic Protection (acquired), Enteric Medical (acquired), Facet Solutions (acquired), eyeonics (acquired), Genyx Medical (acquired), Insulet (NASDAQ: PODD), PixelOptics, Precision Dermatology (acquired), Sadra Medical (acquired) and Sanarus Medical. She also serves on the board of the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club. Ms. Tammenoms Bakker holds an M.P.A. from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and she holds a B.S. from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University.
