Biography
Johan co-founded Liquavista in 2006 and is co-inventor of electrowetting displays. He has a broad set of roles within the company. Johan has received several prizes for electrowetting display technology, is the author of more than 75 papers in internationally refereed journals, various book chapters and holds a large number of patents. Johan received his PhD in Solid State Physics from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands in 1997. After a Post-doc at the University of Maryland, he moved to the Philips Research Labs in Eindhoven, the Netherlands in 1999, where he worked on electrowetting technology and its applications.
