Biography
Fernando Tricta, Vice President Medical Affairs, ApoPharma is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with more than 20 years clinical experience in the management of thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies. Prior to joining ApoPharma, Dr. Tricta established and managed the first thalassemia clinic in Brazil. Dr. Tricta has played a key role in the assessment of the safety and efficacy of Ferriprox®*(deferiprone) and in making this chelator available to patients. As Vice President, Medical Affairs of ApoPharma, Dr. Tricta has a leadership role in the clinical development of its products, and has overall responsibility for the Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management and Medical Safety Departments of the company. Other contributions include the numerous presentations, lectures and papers that Dr. Tricta has presented in the field of Hematology and Oncology.
