Biography
Since August 2011 I am working on polyamides in the Application and Development group at Avantium. The works involves synthesis of new compounds/polymers using both organic and polymer chemistry. In 1995 I started at DSM where I spent most of the time doing research into branched nylon-6. In 1999 I went to Solvay Pharmaceuticals to do research into new active pharmaceutical ingredients, where the focus was to be the first to make the specific structures in amounts up to a few grams. The nice thing about the job is that I am working on new things, which means everyday is different. You are continuously challenged to solve problems to come to the next step. I also like the open work atmosphere within Avantium.
