Biography
Matthew Lester was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director in September 2017. Matthew has a strong finance background and extensive board-level experience across a range of business sectors, including financial services. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Man Group plc and Capita plc, where he also Chairs the Audit and Risk Committees of both companies. Matthew was Chief Financial Officer of Royal Mail Group during the period of preparation for privatisation and for the first four years as a listed entity and member of the FTSE 100. Prior to that, he was Group CFO of ICAP plc the world largest interdealer broker. His earlier experience included 10 years in a variety of senior finance roles at Diageo plc including Group Treasurer and Group Financial Controller. He spent eight years at Kleinwort Benson in Corporate Finance.
