Biography
Cyrille Petit was born and raised in Paris and graduated from HEC, a leading French business school, majoring in Finance. In 1993, following graduation, Petit joined BNP Paribas as an M&A analyst, based in New York. He moved to London in 1995 to join Goldman Sachs’ Financial Institutions Group. In 1997 Petit began his 15 year career with GE, joining GE Capital as Director of Business Development living in both Paris and London during his five years in this position. In 2002, Petit went on to hold the position of Director of Business Development, EMEA & Global Life Sciences with GE Healthcare. Returning to his native France in 1997, Petit then joined GE Transportation as General Manager, Global Business Development. Throughout his career Petit has brokered in excess of 40 transactions (M&A, JV’s etc.). Petit joined Smith & Nephew in May 2012 as Chief Corporate Development Officer.
