Maja

Biography

  Maja graduated in 1997 from Lambeth College, London with a BTEC in Dental Technology while working part-time in a dental laboratory in Wimpole Street. She also spent a short time as a dental surgery assistant in central London before moving on to Manchester Metropolitan University where she graduated in 2000 with a 2:1 BSc(Hons) in Dental Technology. While living and studying in Manchester, Maja worked as a full time dental technician in the private sector covering everything from plaster work, wax-ups, prosthetics, crown and bridge, implants and ceramic work and developed a broad level of practical knowledge at a very high level in a commercial laboratory. Since leaving London and moving north, Maja has worked in some of the country’s finest laboratories as a dental technician and as a technical demonstrator for Ivoclar Vivadent. Maja really enjoys the daily challenge of making a difference. Always keen to top up her brain, she completed a Masters in Business Administration in 2013 and has attended various dental and business training courses, exhibitions and lectures, focusing primarily on dental implantology and business of dentistry throughout her career. The best thing about working for bredent is... the family feel. From the German colleagues to the UK colleagues, including our customers, bredent tries to create an enjoyable working environment, somewhat like a family feel. Maja sees opportunities in dental implantology everywhere and feels privileged to be able to explore them with our customers and colleagues. Chat to Maja about... her family, horse riding, her dog and travelling the world – they make her life complete. In 2003, Maja gave birth to her son and decided to settle in Chesterfield where she set up a fully private laboratory. In 2004 she had the opportunity to set up bredent UK Ltd with Peter Stubbings and it was an opportunity they could not pass up. Towards the end of 2004 she sold her lab to 1st Dental and has focused on raising bredent’s profile in the UK ever since.
