Biography
Ruud Joosten joined AkzoNobel in 1996, as International Marketing Manager Decorative Paints, after graduating from Amsterdam Free University with a master’s degree in Economics. Since then he has held various management positions within the AkzoNobel Decorative Paints, and Specialty Chemicals business areas. In 2008, Ruud was appointed BU Manager for Decorative Paints North and Eastern Europe, located in Warsaw. Then in 2011 he served as Managing Director for AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals, located in Gothenburg. He has lived and worked in The Netherlands, Poland and Sweden. Prior to joining AkzoNobel Ruud worked for eight years for Sigma Coatings (now PPG).
