Biography
Michael is a Managing Director at Princeton Biopharma Capital Partners, LLC a boutique private equity firm focused on providing growth capital and operating expertise to commercial stage healthcare companies. He is a veteran of the pharmaceutical industry with extensive expertise in licensing and commercialization of prescription pharmaceuticals around the world. Prior to forming Princeton Biopharma Capital, LLC, he was the founder and CEO of Aton Pharma, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company with products that treated orphan diseases. Michael started the company in 2004 with a blank piece of paper and a dream. By 2010, the company was on track to surpass $100 million in revenue and $35 million of EBITDA with 11 products sold in over 30 countries. In 2010 the company was sold to Valeant Pharmaceuticals International for $330 million. In 2009 Michael was a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Prior to forming Aton, Michael co-founded Lathian Systems Inc., a venture-backed company that provides online data and marketing services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. At Lathian, he held several senior management positions, including Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Operations and Director. His career began at Merck & Co. Inc., where he held positions ranging from hospital sales to brand management. He holds a BS and MS from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from The Wharton School.
