Biography
"Deepak comes from the small district of Basti situated in Uttar Pradesh province in the northern part of India. He completed his 5 year integrated Master's in Applied Geophysics from Indian School of Mines, India. As a part of his Master's thesis, he worked on application of soft computing and intelligent techniques in reservoir geophysics. He secured the top position in his batch and was awarded the 'Director's gold medal'. He is pursuing his PhD (since Sep, 2013) in structural optimization under the Shell-FOM computational science research programme and is working in the group of Fred van Keulen. His hobbies are playing cricket, swimming and sketching."
