Biography
Prof. Dimitri Solomatine received his PhD from the Institute of Systems Analysis (Russian Academy of Sciences) in 1984 and he is with IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (Delft) from 1990; from 2006 he is the head of the Hydroinformatics Chair group. His research interests include hydroinformatics, integration of models and remote sensing data, modelling, optimization, systems engineering, analysis of models uncertainty, computational intelligence, internet-based computing and decision support. He participated in a number of large-scale research and educational projects, has published over 170 papers, chapters in books and conference proceedings, co-edited several special issues of journals, a book, regularly organizes special sessions on hydroinformatics.
