Biography
Ioan E. Lager was born in Brasov, Romania. He received the M.Sc. degree from Transilvania University, Brasov, and holds PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, and from Transilvania University. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Delft University of Technology. He was a Visiting Scientist with Schlumberger-Doll Research, Ridgefield, CT, in 1997. He is involved in research on bridging the gap between electromagnetic field theory and design, and implementation and physical measurement of radio-frequency front-end architectures. He is active in several antenna engineering European networks, primarily in the VISTA COST Action. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics and antenna engineering, with an emphasis on pulsed-field electromagnetic propagation and nonperiodic (interleaved) array antenna architectures.
