Biography
" Jan Biemond was born in De Kaag, The Netherlands. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 1973 and 1982, respectively. Currently, he is a Professor in the Multimedia Signal Processing Group and former Head of the Mediamatics Department (1999-2010) of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science at Delft University of Technology."
