Biography
Hussein Farahani studied materials science and engineering at the University of Tehran and obtained his BSc in 2008. He received his MSc degree from Iran University of Science and Technology in materials science and engineering in 2008 after completion of his project in semi-solid materials simulation. Then he started Computational Materials Science master course at Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg and received his second master degree in 2014. His thesis was involved with ab-initio modelling of magnetic iron-nitride phases employing density functional theory. In February 2014 he started his PhD at NovAM under the supervision of Prof. S. van der Zwaag.
