Biography
Ran earned his PhD in Geophysics and PhD minor in civil Engineering from Stanford University (1998). After graduation Ran joined the faculty of Michigan State University as an assistant professor of applied geophysics. In 2002 Ran Joined Schlumberger and WesternGeco where he served in in various technological and research positions including Manager of New Technologies for Reservoir seismic Services (2004-2006), Manager of New Technologies-Integrated Solution (2006-2008), Principle Research Geophysicist from 2008-2011 and part time Faculty at Tel Aviv University. Ran is currently a Scientific Advisor for Schlumberger Petrotechnical Services, Research and Engineering division, where he is developing new technologies for various Schlumberger segments.
