Biography
Karl Heinz is Board Member of Echo Pharmaceuticals since January 2014. Since 1991 he is the owner and founder of Telor Capital Management a.s., located in Prague, Czech Republic. The company invests into Private Equity, Agriculture and Property in central & Eastern Europe. Further investments include a winery in Qingdao, China and a very sizeable cattle farm in Santiago del Estero in Argentina. He is also Vice Chairman of the private equity firm Capiton AG in Berlin and Chairman of Bessa Valley Winery in Bulgaria. Karl Heinz initiated his career in 1986 after obtaining his doctorate by the Free University of Berlin. He started as Vice President of Bankers Trust International in London, being responsible for local operations in London, Frankfurt, Paris and Milan. After that, he worked as Manager Director of Merrill Lynch International also located in London. In 1991, he founded the Hauptmann Family Office of Telor Capital Management. In 1983 he finalized his studies in Business Administration and Economics from the Free University of Berlin, further he obtained his doctorate in International Macroeconomics with Magna cum Laude performing his Thesis on International Debt and Bank Risk and a traineeship in the Commission of the European Communities, DG 2.
