Biography

 I am a senior manager, recognized for being a natural leader, a strong motivator and a very good people manager of multiple (expert) teams. Twenty years of international experience in the energy sector. Excellent content knowledge of the full energy value chain from a business point of view -with significant experience in (heat) generation, renewables, trading, portfolio management and sales- as well as from a finance and risk management point of view. Involved in and lead key strategic changes. Known for my strong leadership skills, out-of-the box thinking and for my ability to anticipate fast to changes. Has proven to be able to achieve excellent results in very different kinds of situations. Recognized for my strong ability to develop views and strategies as well as for execution of the resulting change programs. Very experienced in dealing with complex situations and changes (business transformations) and in managing complex interfaces with many (different) stakeholders. - Started as project engineer - on heat generation and supply systems. - Project and program management roles - at Essent's grid, generation and sales units. - Managing consultant - involved in key strategic projects for Essent trading. - VP at Essent trading - responsible for managing all interfaces with Essent's Sales units. - Program manager - set up a new business unit to support Essent integrate into RWE. - Head of Structuring & Analytics and Head of Renewables (I combined both roles). - Member of RWE's SPM Risk team - to share best practices in risk management. - Currently working as an interim manager and executive consultant.
