Biography
Julien-François Gerber is Assistant Professor of Environment and Development at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague. His disciplinary area of work is in political ecology, economic anthropology, and socio-ecological economics. In broad terms, he is interested in the relationships between socioeconomic modes of (re)production, ecological (un)sustainability, and the (non-)satisfaction of human needs – including inner needs.
