Biography
He is a 1.5-year P.R.I.M.E. fellowship (German Ministry for Education and Research and EU/Marie-Curie funded) from October 2015 to March 2017, affiliated with El Colegio de México (Mexico City) and ISS. His research project 'Land Control and State Power: The Cultural Political Economy of Land in Mexico’s Urban Peripheries’ investigates land control changes in peri-urban areas of Central Mexico in the context of economic liberalisation and financialisation. It aims to contribute to an understanding of how statehood is currently contested, reshaped, and (re-)produced through land control in Mexico.
