Biography
Marten Booisma joined AkzoNobel as Chief Human Resources Officer in October 2013. He had spent the previous six years in this position at Royal Ahold. A Dutch citizen, Marten was educated in the Netherlands. After starting his career in HR at Shell and Unilever, from 1999 to 2013 he held a range of senior management positions at Ahold Europe and Ahold Corporate Center. During that period, he was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Ahold NL and of the Selection and Appointment Committee and the Remuneration Committee for Royal Ahold. In addition, Marten has served as director on the board of Employee Share Ownership Services (ESOS) BV. Outside AkzoNobel he sits on the Supervisory Board at Raet, a firm that provides a broad range of payroll services and IT solutions for human resources management.
