Biography
Ariel Bourla serves as associate medical director at Flatiron Health, where she focuses on the development of Flatiron’s clinical trials offerings. She is responsible for working with Flatiron’s partners to design prospective real-world trials, and leads the development of study protocols and data models. Ariel’s research has focused in the areas of immunology and immunotherapy, with the aim of translating basic scientific discoveries into clinical treatments. She has published in major peer-reviewed journals and received several honors for her research. Prior to Flatiron, Ariel was a fellow in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she specialized in gynecologic cancers and immunotherapy. She received her MD and PhD degrees from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. She completed her internal medicine residency training in the research track at Columbia University Medical Center.
