Dennis M. Cornick

Biography

Dennis Cornick provides hands-on leadership to all of Gilbane’s business development teams, serves as the liaison to the executive management team on sales activities and is the executive liaison to the sales leader’s peer group. He administers the Gilbane University sales training program and is actively involved in business development manager recruitment and development. Dennis directs Gilbane’s Center of Excellence leaders in various market segments and oversees the company’s marketing and corporate communication efforts.With more than 30 years of experience as a business developer in the A/E/C industry, Dennis has been with Gilbane since 1990 and previously served as senior manager of business development and regional business development manager for multiple Gilbane regions. Cornick was the visionary leader behind the creation and evolution of centralizing Gilbane’s sales and marketing services group, establishment of a doer/seller service approach, formulating a national account program, and expanding Gilbane’s presence in major cities across the United States. He was also one of the early drivers of Gilbane’s “One Company Approach” — a concept that has re-defined how employees interact with each other across the company and leverage the power of Gilbane to differentiate itself and provide value to its clients. Notable projects/clients he has been involved with include: New York City School Construction Authority; New Jersey Department of Community Affairs; New York State Office of General Services; Dormitory Authority of the State of New York; New Jersey School Development Authority; State University of New York Construction Fund; the historic renovation of the New Jersey State House; Essex County Correctional Facility; Parsippany Schools; and Rutgers University Football Stadium Expansion. Dennis is currently acting as principal-in-charge for multiple ongoing Gilbane projects in New York and New Jersey, including the Hurricane Sandy Disaster Recovery work for the State of New Jersey.He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in marketing and management from St. John’s University.
