Biography
Josiena Gotzsch is senior professor at the Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) in France - Department of Management and Technology. She obtained a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at Henley Management College in England, and an Engineering degree in Industrial Design from the University of Technology in Delft - the Netherlands. She is the program Director of the GEM-GGSB Bachelor of International Business Program (BIB) since 2003. In 2016-2017, approximately 500 students with 60 nationalities are studying the BIB program at either the Grenoble, the Paris or the London campus. The BIB program obtained a shared first place in the Parisien Etudiant 2017. Josiena contributes to integrating design thinking into GEM's curriculum. As a result GEM signed a double-diploma agreement with the French design school Strate Collège Designers in 2008. And in 2012 GEM became the first business school to become member of the Cumulus design education network. In 2006 Josiena won the GEM Price for Innovation Pedagogique for an exercise titled "Getting Creative Again". She also won a reward for excellence pedagogique during multiple years, the most recent one in 2016. Research interests include design thinking, product semantics and eco-design.
