Biography
Yasar) Mehmet Kutluay is a PhD student at the Tinbergen Institute and the department of Environmental Economics at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He has a background in economics from the Tinbergen Institute, with a focus on applied microeconometrics. His MPhil thesis analysed the determinants of willingness-to-pay to avoid a subset of mosquito-borne diseases. Mehmet is currently working on the HELIX project. His focus for the project is on the economic valuation of climate change sensitive disease outbreaks.
