Biography
Arthur Oubrie was appointed as Chief Scientific Officer of Lead Pharma in July 2011. Together with Ad van Gorp, he is one of two legal executives of the company. From 2005 to 2011, he worked as a research fellow at Organon, Schering Plough, and Merck. There he was, among others, leader or member of several lead identification and lead optimization teams, focusing on inflammatory and immunological indications. He also served as head of X-ray crystallography and structure-based drug design and chair of the global computational design working group. He actively contributed to the discovery and selection of various hits, leads, and a number of pre-clinical and clinical candidates and is co-inventor of several modulators of kinases and nuclear receptors.
