Research Interest
The PhD research is funded by the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (Mexico) and carried out at the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University, in connection with the project 'Time in Intercultural Context: The Indigenous Calendars of Mexico and Guatemala' (which is directed by Prof. Dr. Maarten E.R.G.N. Jansen and receives financial support from the European Research Council through ERC Advanced Grant No: 295434). The PhD research focuses on the 'Writing and Iconography of Western Oaxaca, Mexico, between 500 B.C. and A.D. 900'.
