Biography
Gerrit Alink is a retired toxicologist from Wageningen (WUR UHD), who after his career as a toxicologist came to Leiden to do a BA and subsequently a MA in Palaeolithic Archaeology. He graduated in September 2015 with a study of the Trinil site. As guest scientist he is a member of the Trinil Project, because of his knowledge of the site and also because he spends about half a year per year at Jakarta, closely working with the Indonesian partners at the Pusat Arkeologi Nasional (ARKENAS, National Centre of Archaeology). He is appointed for the duration of the MoU the Faculty of Archaeology has with ARKENAS, starting September 1 2015, and ending September 1 2018
