Biography
Margot Kuitems finished the study Archaeology at Leiden University in 2009 and wrote her MA thesis on carbon and nitrogen stable isotope ratios of modern mammals compared to those of mammoth steppe fauna. During and after her study, Margot was involved in various projects of the Faculty of Archaeology, e.g. the Dutch-Russian research project “The Collapse of the Mammoth Steppe Ecosystem (comsec)” and investigation of the Middle Pleistocene archaeological site Schöningen (Germany). Currently she is coordinating the archaeological and geological research which has been carried out in the light of the operations of the Maasvlakte 2. Moreover, she has continued investigating stable isotope values of mammals from various archaeological sites.
