Biography

Margreet Ahsmann is professor of Judicial procedure (0.2 fte) at Leiden University and senior judge in the civil law section at the District Court of The Hague since 2011.The focus of Margreet’s teaching will be to promote the scientific and practical exchange of knowledge between the judiciary and the Law faculty. This is the main objective of the convenant which the District court in The Hague and the Law faculty of Leiden University jointly have concluded. Her teaching will be in the area of civil procedure, her research will be at the Institute for Private law. Margreet has published widely. Subjects in the area of legal (history) education as well as of civil law of procedure have her particular interest. Professor (extra ordinary) of Judicial Procedure (0.2 fte) and Senior judge at Court The Hague since 2011.
