Biography
Chris Bemben is Associate Director, Drug Development at Lumos Pharma. Mr. Bemben has significant experience in drug discovery and development. He held positions of increasing responsibility as a research scientist at Southwest Research Institute from 2008 to 2015. In his previous position he managed multiple client’s CMC programs for clinical trials and non-clinical development. He oversaw integrated pharmaceutical development activities including in-silico drug design, medicinal chemistry, scale-up, formulation, and cGMP manufacturing of drug substance and drug product. Mr. Bemben has extensive knowledge of analytical methodologies required to support CMC activities. At Southwest Research he was responsible for the design, medicinal chemistry, synthesis and characterization of many key compounds for indications in oncology, neurodegenerative diseases, CNS-active acetylcholinesterase reactivators, and anti-virals, among others.
